Pipes in Print

The October issue of Theatre Organ magazine, the journal of the American Theatre Organ Society, has a feature article on the Summer Youth Adventure, an intensive week-long experience to train young theatre organists and expose them to a variety of instruments, with coaching from world-class performers.

Multiple events from the week were filmed for the Documentary Project. A few stills from those shoots are featured in the article. The attendees were also treated to an extended preview trailer for the film – not yet shown to the public – and the response was overwhelmingly positive. (“Shut up and take my money!”, one attendee shouted as soon as the trailer concluded.)

Our new ad promoting the film also graced the back cover of the issue. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the “At the Organ Grinder” CD collection go to benefit the American Theatre Organ Society’s youth programs, with over $350 contributed to ATOS so far, thanks to backers of the documentary.

Please consider contributing to ATOS – In order for places like the Organ Grinder to return (or continue to exist, as there are a couple still in operation!), there need to be talented and energetic organists to perform for the pizza-purchasing patrons!
