Last week, as part of our Midwest Tour, we interviewed Clark Wilson, who is an accomplished organist and silent film scorer. Clark has been called “Master of silent film and showman of the first order.”

We had an animated discussion with Clark about the history of the theatre organ, his experience with the “Pizza Organ” genre, and how film scores for today’s movies utilize the same musical language that originated in the silent film era.
Clark spoke about the future of the pipe organ, and how the next generation of young performers comes to discover and appreciate the instrument.
Clark also gave a rousing performance on Shawn Kenney’s residential pipe organ, which we plan to edit into a short YouTube video.
